19th August 2008 - Just a grassy section section of the airfield! 
 
24th October 2008 - Groundwork has started on the site 
 
22nd November 2008 - More groundwork in progress 
 
18th December 2008 - First signs of vertical construction 
 
6th January 2009 - About to start work on the vertical 'stalk' construction 
 
12th January 2009 - An amazing difference six days later! 
 
13th January 2009 - Starting to rise above the skyline

21st January 2009 - Construction of the stalk almost completed 
 
2 February 2009 - Basic stalk construction finished

25 March - Concrete construction of the stalk completed 
 
4 April - Scaffolding erection to enable construction of the sub-cab area 
 
21 April - The Scaffolding continues to grow

10th July - The Visual Control Room structure almost complete 
 
14th & 19th July - Glazing installed in the Visual Control Room

27 October - 10th November - Scaffolding removed
