13 July - Three Aircraft
pictures in Aviation
2011 , again unfortunately shot through the window glass, an Army Lynx
that stopped for fuel and the Blue Islands Jetstream arriving on their
schedule from Jersey.
12 July - Early morning
and a local inshore fishing boat crosses Douglas Bay, with the cruise liner
'Marina' on a day visit
11th July - Four pictures
taken on the last two days late in the evening. I think the lighting effect
on the sky after the Sun has set can be very dramatic. The two others were
taken from work late in the evening, on the first one the sunlight just
highlighted the yellow flower on the wasteground and on the second I liked
the contrast between the bright white of the hotel and the blue of the
water, with the orange on the breakwater standing out well.
10th July - Eleven
new pictures in Rail 2011
of the Manx Electric & the Steam Railway. The Steam Railway trains
were carrying 'Manx National Week' headboards.
8th July - One new
Aircraft picture in Aviation
2011 Linksair Jetstream 31, operting services for Manx2.com
7th July - Four pictures
taken in Douglas and one in Onchan. Just pictures taken 'in passing' on
visits for other purposes. I always try and keep a camera with me as you
never know when a good picture might present itself. If I don't have a
proper camera the mobile phone sometimes gets pressed into service, harder
to take pictures and not quite the same quality, but it's surprising what
you can achieve.
6th July - A wander
around the Peel Castle area, some lovely clear blue seas today.
North to White Strand &
Lhiannag
5th July - Two Aircraft
pictures in Aviation
2011 Citation Excel, Eclipse EA500
2nd July - Two pictures
taken close to Ronaldsway and three in Douglas. Taken on the way home from
an afternoon shift. At Douglas the tide was out almost enough to walk to
the Tower of Refuge.
